144 sq ft ÷ 1 sq ft per tile = 144 tiles

So, you will need 144 tiles to cover 144 square feet. However, it’s recommended to purchase 10-15% extra tiles to account for cuts, breakage, and pattern adjustments. This means you should buy around 158 to 166 tiles for a smooth installation.

To do things differently try, rotating every tile 90 degrees. My designers have angled the square tiles, giving the surfaces white character while retaining the minimalist ideal. This gives the space charm and interest to the otherwise bland minimalistic spaced kitchen.

To lay square carpet tiles, ensure the site is clean, dry, and level. Use chalk lines to mark the midsection of the room. Starting from the center, work your way outward in a grid pattern so that the tiles are well balanced as you progress.

For a clean look, take a utility knife and cut the edges as required. In the end, press down the different tiled sections to hide the seams and give a more sleek look.
