Halil I Oguz
Halil I. Oguz founded Mosaicenter in July 2018, opening a single showroom in Orange, California that has since grown into a nationwide supplier of natural stone and engineered tile for homeowners, designers, and contractors across the United States and Canada.
He leads what Mosaicenter carries — marble, porcelain, ceramic, glass, and vinyl — evaluating every collection on real-world performance: slip resistance for wet floors, water absorption for showers, and finishes that hold up to daily wear.
He also writes the Mosaicenter Tile Guide, covering DCOF slip ratings and ADA compliance, ANSI A118 adhesive standards, TCNA installation methods, and the behaviour of natural stone — which marbles stain, which need sealing, and how finishes wear over time. The aim is to give people the practical detail they need to choose with confidence and avoid costly mistakes.
A design-trained founder, he bootstrapped the business on personal savings and has kept the range deliberately curated rather than broad. His approach to building the company was profiled in Authority Magazine.
