About Bathroom Wall Tile

Bathroom walls do what paint cannot: shrug off steam, splashes and daily scrubbing while giving the room its entire character. From wainscot bands to floor-to-ceiling wet walls, this collection covers the full range in ceramic, glass, marble and sheet-mounted mosaics, ready for powder rooms, family baths and full spa builds.

Choosing by Material

Ceramic and Porcelain

Glazed, waterproof faces made for steamy rooms; endless colors at friendly prices.

Marble and Stone

Quarried veining wraps baths in permanence; honed faces glow softly in wet light.

Glass

Luminous, non-porous and mold-unfriendly; glass keeps small bathrooms bright.

Mosaic Blends

Pattern and texture by the sheet, ideal for accent bands, niches and feature panels.

Best Applications for Bathroom Wall Tile

Tub and Shower Surrounds

The wet wall is the bathroom's hardest-working surface; glazed tile and sealed stone both take decades of daily steam.

Vanity and Mirror Walls

Tile behind the vanity frames the mirror and catches splash; a mosaic panel here delivers boutique detail in a few square feet.

Wainscot and Half Walls

A 36-to-48-inch tiled band with a pencil cap protects the splash zone and dresses the room in classic proportions.

Floor-to-Ceiling Features

Wrapping one wall, or the whole room, in tile is the five-star move: seamless, steam-proof and utterly permanent.

Installation and Care

Board, Not Drywall

Wet areas get cement board or foam board behind the tile; drywall belongs only in dry zones.

Plan the Heights

Set wainscot caps, niche shelves and accent bands to align with fixtures before the first tile goes up.

Grout and Silicone

Grout the field, silicone the changes of plane; that one habit prevents most bathroom cracks.

Easy Keeping

A squeegee in the shower and a monthly neutral-clean keep walls looking installed-yesterday.

The living room is the architectural heartbeat of your home. We curate our collections to balance breathtaking luxury with unbreakable, everyday durability.

Whether you are gathering with family or entertaining guests, our large-format porcelains and rich natural stones provide an impeccable foundation. By insisting on precision-rectified edges and premium glazes, we ensure your living space feels expansive, seamless, and effortlessly sophisticated for decades.

FAQs about Bathroom Tiles for Wall

What tile is best for bathroom walls?

Glazed ceramic and porcelain are the reliable defaults: waterproof, scrubbable and affordable. Marble brings real veining to walls that stay beautiful for decades with sealing; glass keeps small, dim bathrooms luminous.

How high should bathroom wall tile go?

Three classic answers: an 8-to-12-inch splash above the vanity, a 36-to-48-inch wainscot around the room, or full height in showers and feature walls. Shower surrounds should always run to the ceiling or at least above the showerhead.

Do bathroom walls need waterproofing behind tile?

Wet walls do: cement board or a waterproof membrane behind showers and tub surrounds. Tile and grout shed water but are not a waterproofing system on their own; the layer behind them is.

Can wall tile be used on bathroom floors?

Not automatically: wall tile can be thinner and slicker than floor ratings allow. Floor-rated tile works on walls, but check the rating before sending a wall tile down to the floor.

What color wall tile makes a small bathroom look bigger?

Light tones, larger formats and grout matched to the tile expand the read; glossy and glass surfaces bounce what light there is. Running the same tile floor to ceiling erases the horizontal seams that shrink a room.
