Octagon Tile

The eight-sided, or octagon, tiles have intricate geometric patterns forming the twenty-first century’s modern lavish addition. There are numerous reasons that circumstantiate the steep ascent of octagon tile bathroom designs: Multifunctionality: Octagon tiles can be applied on surfaces including floors and walls, or even used as accent pieces, allowing for endless design possibilities.

To lay octagon tile, mark a clean, level surface first. Determine a center point and use chalk lines to help with alignment. Using a notched trowel, apply thin-set mortar, then careful placement of the octagon tiles following the pattern. If an octagon and dot tile are used, place the small dot tiles correctly in between the octagons. Use tile spacers to get even grout lines and check alignment as each row is laid. Let it set before grouting over the surface using a rubber float, making sure to fill all gaps evenly. Wipe off the excess grout with a damp sponge and allow it to cure fully before sealing (if required), thus providing a more durable and professional finish.

Everything is relatively easy for somebody who is skilled at tiling, that is the only challenge posed when using hexagonal tiles. If that is not the case, then hiring a professional may be the best course of action, even if it means spending more money than expected.

Natural stones such as marble and limestone, ceramic, porcelain, and encaustic cement are some materials available for octagon pattern tiles. They are aggressive in their aesthetics and provide high functionality alongside different design requirements and extracts.

It's possible to combine a variety of colors in surface treated octagonal shaped tiles. Because these modern materials all contain natural stones, they are not deficient in colors and patterns ranging from different formation processes. Additionally, ceramic, porcelain and encaustic tiles are not natural stone tiles. They can be manufactured in any uniform design or paired with a design to resemble real stones.
