Tuscany Scabas is a gold travertine mosaic tile offered in 2 sizes, from 6 by 12 up to 6 by 24 inches. Its surface carries the fine natural voids travertine is known for, a texture that reads warm and aged from the first day. The mounted sheets bend to shower floors and wrap niches cleanly, making it a natural pick for backsplashes and accent walls.

Gold tones bring mineral warmth that reads luxurious beside cream, deep green, and dark timber. As a mosaic, the joint pattern is part of the design; grout color choice changes the whole read of the sheet.

Travertine is a natural limestone deposited by mineral springs, recognizable by the small surface voids left as gases escaped the forming stone. Quarried in earth tones from ivory through walnut and silver grey, it has been a building stone since Roman construction. The voids are either filled at the factory for a smoother face or left open in tumbled and unfilled finishes for a more rustic, slip-resistant texture. Its warm, matte character suits patios, pool decks, and interiors alike, and it stays comfortable underfoot in the heat.

Seal travertine at installation and re-seal roughly once a year in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean with stone-safe pH-neutral products only; acidic cleaners etch the calcite surface. Unfilled travertine can be grouted flush to fill the voids or left open outdoors for grip. Sweep outdoor installations regularly so debris does not settle into surface texture. Use white thinset, and blend tiles from several boxes during layout to distribute natural tonal variation evenly.
